To graduate, students will require 80 credits total – with a minimum of 16 at the grade 12 level, and 28 elective course credits.
52 credits are required from the following:
- Two Career Education courses (8 credits total) (replaces Planning 10 and Graduation Transitions)
- Physical and Health Education 10 (4 credits)
- Science 10 (4 credits), and a Science 11 or 12 (4 credits)
- Social Studies 10 (4 credits), and a Social Studies 11 or 12 (4 credits)
- A Math 10 (4 credits), and a Math 11 or 12 (4 credits)
- A Language Arts 10, 11 & 12 (12 credits)
- An Arts Education 10, 11, or 12 and/or an Applied Design, Skills, and Technologies 10, 11, or 12 (4 credits)
Graduation Transitions Exit Interviews Schedule Posted
The GT schedule is posted on the GRAD BOARD.
Students must bring:
- GT package, resume, cover letter, etc.
- 2 artifacts you’re proud of in relation to learning (a project, something you built, your ‘N’, etc.)
Transcripts, Post Secondary Institution (PSI) Selection
Student Transcripts Service (STS) is a new online application for students to view their school marks, scholarships and transcript, and send transcripts electronically to the post-secondary institutions of their choice. The STS replaces the Student Secure Web.
To register for STS students will need:
- Personal Education
- Number (PEN)
- Full legal name
- Date of birth
- Email address
StudentTranscripts Service
Go to the Ministry of Education’s Transcripts and Certificate website. Students must register for a BC Government account, a BCeID. Follow the system prompts and register for STS. Finally log-in to Student Transcripts Service using the BCeID.
From a student’s STS Dashboard make post-secondary institution selections, view transcript, view assessment results, and send transcripts immediately.

Graduation Assessment
Graduation assessments have changed to align with the new curriculum. As part of the updated graduation requirements, students will have to complete two* provincial assessments – A numeracy assessment and a literacy assessment. Every student must take the assessment to evaluate their competencies in the two academic areas. They will focus on the demonstration and application of numeracy and literacy.
